More than 12 coaching-centre operators in Bihar were allegedly caught on Bhaskar’s hidden camera discussing plans to focus on student movements rather than education, with some claiming they teach students to stand against the system, “brainwash” them against government schools and prepare them to retaliate if police beat them.
The operators said they were preparing Gen Z to bring a “revolution” and claimed this was why students from Bihar travelled to protests across the country; they also claimed that students trained in this way had taken part in the protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and said they hoped the students would one day stage protests that would “shake” the government.
At our coaching centre, we teach revolution and turn students into revolutionaries. We are preparing them to stand against the system. For this, along with teaching in class, we also have to brainwash the students. We have to instil in their minds that government school teachers do not teach even after being paid ₹60,000 a month. The government system is completely failing. Now, Gen Z will bring the revolution. That is why whenever there is a protest anywhere in the country, students from Bihar go there.

Bihar’s coaching centres have often been in the spotlight over protests. Following the Delhi protest, Bihar’s coaching centres are once again being discussed. A large number of students from coaching centres in Bihar took part in the protest at Jantar Mantar.
Bhaskar’s investigation team received information that, since the Delhi protest, Gen-Z students have been being prepared to oppose the government at coaching centres in Bihar. To investigate this, a Bhaskar reporter attended the ‘Voice of Gen-Z’ programme being held at S K Memorial in Patna on 6 September.
After seeing the reporter’s activity, coaching-centre operator Rohit got in touch and struck a major deal.
Reporter – We are preparing for a large-scale Gen-Z protest in Patna. We need Gen-Z students for it. Rohit – That can be arranged. What issue do you want to protest over?
Reporter – They are student-related issues. There is no proper teaching in Bihar’s schools, and university examinations are not being held on time. Rohit- All right, we will provide the students.
Reporter – Where do you gather the students from? Rohit – I teach at a coaching centre, and I am in touch with several other coaching centres. We will provide an entire army of boys.
Reporter – How do you persuade these students to join the protest? Rohit- While teaching the students, we tell them that the country’s situation is very bad.
Reporter – Why do they do this? Rohit – We brainwash them so that they can be prepared for the movement.
Rohit said that they teach the children about the Russian Revolution and explain how everything changed there afterwards.
Rohit said – We turn students into fighters
Speaking to the reporter, Rohit said that a teacher could turn as many students as he wanted into comrades (fighters). For example, when teaching the Russian Revolution in Class 10, they teach the children about the Russian Revolution. While teaching them, they explain that when the revolution took place there, everything changed.
People in Russia are very happy today. If we also bring about a revolution here, the situation in our country will improve in the same way. All this is part of the syllabus.
We make children revolutionary through their studies and mobilise them. We tell them that their teacher does not teach them even after being paid ₹60,000 a month.
The reporter asked whether Rohit wanted to organise a major Gen-Z protest in Patna. Rohit replied that if the reporter arranged the funds, they would fill all of Patna with Gen-Z.
All the boys I have with me are trained. If the police beat them, they will hit back. I am in contact with teachers from more than 12 districts, including Samastipur and Darbhanga, as well as the boys studying at their coaching centres.
Rohit called the reporter to Samastipur for a deal involving 25 coaching centres
During the deal, Rohit claimed that he had more than 50 such coaching centres, with over 2,000 students. Rohit called the reporter to Ujiarpur in Samastipur to arrange deals with coaching centres and introduce the reporter to the students.
A reporter reached Ujियारpur to investigate Rohit’s claims. The reporter met Rohit at Real Mission Coaching Classes at Mahendra Chowk, near Ujियारpur market. Rohit introduced the reporter to more than 10 coaching-centre operators there and finalised the entire deal involving the students.
Rohit took the reporter to the coaching centre. The reporter asked, “Will you go to the protest?” The students said, “We will go anywhere.”
Students said, “We are Gen-Z who will make a revolution”
Rohit took the reporter to the classroom to introduce him to the students and said that the children had been prepared in such a way that they could go anywhere to protest.
When the reporter asked in front of around 80 students in the classroom whether they would go to the protest, the students raised their hands in unison and said that they were revolutionaries and could go anywhere to fight. They said they had also gone to the protests in Delhi and Patna.
The fire of protest burning inside the Class 10 students was raising several questions. The students were asked how Rohit Sir prepared them for protests.
The students said that Rohit Sir had told them that every change that had taken place in the country so far had come through protests. They said that even independence had been achieved through a movement. The children said in unison, “There will be change through a movement.”
According to the students, they had gone to Patna several times to join the movement. The reporter asked whether they could go to Delhi to protest. The students replied together that they could go anywhere. They said they could even go to another country. They said that they were all revolutionaries and would overthrow the government.
Rohit put us in touch with Rahul, who runs a coaching centre in Ujiarpur. Rahul also introduced the reporter to Class 12 students and explained the entire plan for the protest.
Rahul claimed that more than 25 coaching centre operators were in contact with him, and that students were prepared for protests alongside their studies.
According to Rahul, whenever there is a major protest anywhere in Delhi, Patna or nearby areas, children have to be sent from coaching centres to make the movement successful.
Reporter- Protests against the government are taking place everywhere. Gen-Z has the greatest demands in this. How many students can you provide us? Rahul- It will be done. However many you ask for, we will provide you with that many boys.
Reporter – How do you prepare the children for protests? Rahul – We manage to convince these children quite easily.
Reporter – Do the students ever refuse? Rahul – My students are always ready to protest. If you call one, they all take to the streets.
Reporter –Do you not face any problems? The police also carry out baton charges. Rahul – We have trained them in such a way that wherever we go, a crowd of these boys reaches there as well. There are students who can even beat up the police. When the police show force, the girls are sent to the front.
Reporter –Has that ever happened? Rahul – When we went to a protest in Darbhanga, hundreds of students followed me. When a case was registered against me, the students reached the police station and started creating a ruckus. The girls also created a huge commotion at the police station, carrying bangles.
Reporter – Do guardians not have any problems? Rahul – Guardians do not say anything; they never refuse. They know that we do not do anything wrong with the children. We teach them sincerely and deliver results.
Rahul said that if a teacher is backward, they become ready to brainwash children. Forward teachers do not go against the government.
Coaching centre operator said – Backward coaching centre operators are against the government
During the deal with Rahul, the reporter asked him about a plan to hold meetings with coaching institute operators across Bihar and prepare Gen Z for protests, and he agreed to this as well. Rahul said, “We have only those coaching institute operators who come from the Backward Caste. People from the Forward Class are not anti-government.”
The reporter told Rahul, “We want you to convince students from other coaching institutes and turn them into revolutionaries in the same way that you are turning children into revolutionaries. What will have to be done for this?”
Rahul said, “For this, we will have to see whether the teacher at the coaching institute we are going to wants to prepare the children for the movement or not. Keep in mind that the teacher should not have the title Jha, Mishra, Chaubey, Pandey or Singh-in other words, they should not be from the General Category. These people do not go against the government.”
Go to coaching institutes for OBC or SC-ST students. They will agree to this. Tell those teachers to teach the children about Lenin and Karl Marx in the classroom.
They are taught in class about all the revolutionaries who have existed so far. When the children study these revolutionaries, they will become revolutionaries themselves.
Reporter- How do you turn your children into revolutionaries? Rahul- We have trained them this way, and we train the children who newly join the class in the same manner. We teach them about Bhagat Singh. Along with Bhagat Singh, we also teach them about his uncle, saying that his uncle was a greater revolutionary than Bhagat Singh.
Reporter- How can there be a commotion during a protest? Rahul- The commotion happens on its own; the children do not want to see the police. A child says, “It is no fun if the police are not there.”
Sent children to Delhi for ₹1,000
Rahul claimed that many students from Samastipur and neighbouring districts had been sent to the protest in Delhi. Each student was paid ₹1,000 for one day. Students from Bihar also went viral in Delhi.
Rahul also introduced the reporter to students in the classroom. When the reporter asked the students about the protest and where they had gone, they began naming Patna and Delhi. A large number of girls were among them. Rahul said that they take students on the pretext of tours and also make them take part in protests.
In Ujiarpur itself, Rohit and Rahul introduced us to Golu, the secretary of Samastipur College. They claimed that Golu plays a leading role in the student movement and can gather a crowd of 5,000 to 10,000 students with a single call.
Golu runs a student movement against the government in Bihar, with a large number of students studying at coaching centres taking part in it.
Reporter- We are going to hold a very large protest, and for this we need a Gen-Z crowd. Golu- We will provide you with as large a crowd as you need.
Reporter- We want to bring together young people from across Bihar so that, when we need them, we can hold a very large protest in Patna or Delhi. What will we have to do for this? Golu- Identify coaching centres across Bihar that are preparing children for protests. Create a group and add everyone to it.
Reporter- The children are ready, but their families stop them. We cannot understand how to handle this. Golu – Teach the students that if their families ask them not to join the protest, they should ask their parents at home: “Do you have money? If we fall ill today, do you have money for treatment? An ordinary person’s home does not even have a paracetamol tablet. There is not even a pen in the house.”
Reporter – What else should be planned? Golu – Teach children to go to libraries and read books by revolutionaries. If the children read, they will become atheists and move away from the BJP. They will explain this to their parents at home and join you.
We met Saroj in Samastipur. Saroj also sends an army of students from Patna to other districts of Bihar for protests. Saroj claimed that he is not alone and that many coaching centres are preparing students for protests.
There are many coaching centres in Bihar that brainwash and mobilise children and prepare them for protests. Saroj works with dozens of people, including Rohit and Rahul.
Reporter- Children can also have FIRs filed against them during protests, and the police can arrest them. What is the way to avoid all this and get out of it? Saroj- If an FIR is filed, the person leading the protest will handle it.
Reporter- What will happen if the police arrest them? Saroj- If the police arrest them, the students themselves will not back down; they will surround the police station. The children do not move until the police release them.
Reporter- How do you manage these children here? Saroj- One person cannot manage so many children. We divide them into groups of 10. One boy is put in charge of each group of 10 and keeps an eye on them. He is responsible for them from the time they arrive here until they leave, including their meals.
During the investigation, information emerged that the coaching centre was also in contact with political parties and took students to protests. Following this lead, the reporter struck a deal with an agent who supplied hired crowds to political parties.
In this connection, we received information about Congress leader Alok Harsh, the son of former MLA Kaushalya Devi. The reporter met Alok at his home on BMP Road in Patna.
Alok claimed that he would provide a large Gen-Z crowd for the protest.
Alok- Tell me, what kind of protest are you planning? Reporter- We are planning a student protest and need Gen-Z students for it.
Alok- It will be done. Reporter- Where will the boys for the protest come from?
Alok- We are in contact with boys from student hostels, coaching centres and the surrounding areas. Reporter- How will all these boys be managed?
Alok- I have boys who manage everything. Reporter– We are protesting for the first time. Please guide us on what needs to be done and how?
Alok- The most important thing for a protest is media management. You will first have to manage the media. For that, hold a press conference at a large hotel somewhere. Reporter- Which hotel should we hold it at?
Alok- Any large hotel, such as the Maurya. If you hold it at one of these hotels, it will appear that a major protest is going to take place. Reporter- What needs to be done after that?
Alok- We will manage the media. All the media personnel who attend the press conference will also come on the day of the protest. They will all cover it that day. The bigger the media coverage, the bigger the protest will be. Reporter- They will do that, but how will we gather the crowd? We do not have a crowd.
Alok- It will be taken care of; all the arrangements will be made. Reporter- We cannot rely on that crowd because we tried this once, but the crowd did not show up.
Alok- We are ready to provide the crowd. Reporter- How large a crowd can be gathered?
Alok- We will gather more than 2,000 Gen-Z boys. Reporter- How much will each boy cost?
Alok claimed that he would arrange 2,000 Gen-Z youths for the protest.
Alok- All the boys will come from hostels in Patna, Musallahpur Hat and areas around Patna. Those coming from outside will travel by motorcycle. They will charge ₹500 per student. Petrol, food and drinks will be separate. Reporter- During the protest, the media will ask the boys whether they study and where they have come from. What will they all say in response?
Alok- Don’t worry about that, because students who study also attend the protest, along with others who come from outside. If the media asks questions, the students will answer; those who do not study remain involved in disorder. Reporter- We want the protest to be such that the government is shaken.
Alok- It will happen; boys are unruly by nature. If you set out from Gandhi Maidan in Patna, the police will surround you at Dak Bungalow Crossing. There will be some pushing and shoving between the police and the boys. The boys will start breaking through the barricades. After that, the media will inevitably cover it. Reporter- Will the police also carry out a baton charge at that point?
Alok- They are all prepared to take a beating from the batons. That is why they are being paid, isn’t it? They all want a baton charge to take place and the crowd to disperse so that they can loot whatever there is to loot. That is precisely why they come. Reporter- If an FIR is registered against someone, how will they manage it?
Alok- There is no need to worry about that because it is registered against unknown persons. No one’s name is included. Reporter- We want to enter Raj Bhavan.
Alok- This will require preparation in advance. You must not come with a crowd because there will be heavy security there. You will have to come in groups of two via separate routes. Then you will have to enter Raj Bhavan. Reporter- Have you mobilised crowds before?
Alok- We have been mobilising crowds for every Congress protest. We recently mobilised a crowd for MP Akhilesh Prasad as well. Reporter- Do you go yourself?
Alok- We go too. My entire life has been spent taking part in protests. My mother, Kaushalya Devi, was an MLA from Tarapur. We have been doing this work ever since.
