Two merchant ships collided near the OTB anchorage at Kandla off the Gujarat coast. Following the collision, the Coast Guard safely rescued 21 people.
According to the Coast Guard, the ships are MV KMAX EMPEROR and MV TRUE MARINER. A total of 24 people were on board the two ships, of whom three have been left aboard MV KMAX EMPEROR to handle operations.
The Coast Guard has launched a relief and rescue operation, and further rescue efforts are underway.
