IndiGo Flight Diverted To Lucknow After Smoke Alert

An IndiGo flight travelling from Agartala to Delhi was diverted to Lucknow on Tuesday after an alert was raised following reports of smoke in the aircraft’s cargo section. There were 109 people on board the flight.

During the flight, the pilot suspected that a fire had broken out in the cargo section. He then decided to land at Lucknow airport as a precaution. However, the suspicion of a fire on the plane turned out to be false.

Emergency declared at Lucknow airport

According to media reports, an emergency was declared at Lucknow airport at 6:29 pm. The IndiGo plane landed on the Lucknow airport runway at 6:31 pm. It reached the landing bay at 6:33 pm, and passengers were deboarded at 6:35 pm. At 6:39 pm, the report of a fire was found to be false. The emergency was later called off.
