
Security forces have recovered the body of a Pakistani terrorist killed during Operation Ashdar in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district. The terrorist has been identified as Yasir, a Pakistani national affiliated with the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, a joint team comprising the Special Operations Group (SOG) Doda, Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and the CRPF recovered the terrorist’s remains during the operation.
M4 rifle with night-vision capability recovered
Security forces also recovered an M4 rifle equipped with night-vision capability from the encounter site.
Jammu and Kashmir Police shared details of the recovery on X on Saturday. Police said security forces continued tracking Yasir even after he fled the area during the operation and eventually located him.
