Heavy rain occurred in several districts of the western part, including Khargone, Barwani, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Ratlam, and Dhar. On Friday, cotton and maize crops in Khandwa were flattened in the fields.

According to the Meteorological Department, Gogawan in Khargone received the highest rainfall of 7.6 inches. Burhanpur city recorded 7 inches and Bhimpur in Betul recorded 6.6 inches of rain. Heavy to very heavy rainfall was recorded in 33 cities and towns of the state.

Meanwhile, 13 districts – Mauganj, Umaria, Shahdol, Tikamgarh, Khandwa, Barwani, Khargone, Bhind, Burhanpur, Dewas, Indore, Rajgarh and Sehore – have received above-average rainfall.
