The monsoon system has weakened in Madhya Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation is active in the western region, but it is not having much impact on the state. Today, there is a heavy rain alert in four districts-Umaria, Mandla, Balaghat, and Dindori.
In Uttar Pradesh, 26 districts are affected by floods. Around 4 lakh people have been affected. The Ganges River is in spate in Unnao, and more than 10 villages have been turned into islands. On Friday, a rain alert has been issued for 75 districts.
Flood conditions continue in 14 districts of Bihar. Five people died after drowning in floodwaters in Bhagalpur, while three people died after being struck by lightning in Araria.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for South Gujarat today. It has also warned of heavy rain in Navsari, Valsad, and Dang on September 13.
