Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn Vimal Ad Controversy

The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has taken action against Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Tiger Shroff regarding the advertisement for Vimal Elaichi. All three have been issued show cause notices. The FDA alleges that through the ‘Vimal Elaichi’ advertisement, indirect promotion of ‘Vimal Pan Masala’, which is banned in the state, is being carried out.

Following this case, old statements by artists regarding the promotion of products harmful to health have come back into discussion. Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn have previously stated that if a product is harmful to health, the government should ban its manufacturing and sale altogether.

Shah Rukh had said – Don’t stop my earnings In an old interview given to CNN-IBN, Shah Rukh Khan was asked that the Health Minister has appealed to celebrities not to advertise products like soft drinks, because children start drinking them after seeing them. On this, Shah Rukh had said that if cigarettes or soft drinks are bad, then the government should stop their sale and production in the country itself.

Government gets revenue, then why stop my earnings Shah Rukh Khan had argued in his response that the government doesn’t ban such products because they are a source of revenue for the government. Shah Rukh had said that when the government is not stopping production for its revenue, then his earnings should also not be stopped. He said that he is an actor and earning by working is his profession. If something is really wrong, then its production itself should be stopped.

Ajay Devgn said- I only promote cardamom In the year 2022 also, when the controversy over such advertisements increased, actor Ajay Devgn had put forth his side. Ajay had said that he only advertises ‘cardamom’ and denied allegations of surrogate advertising.

He had said that using any product depends on a person’s personal choice. Ajay also agreed with Shah Rukh Khan’s statement and said that if any product is harmful, then first its production should be banned.
