Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has reached Kathmandu to help the people affected by the devastating floods in Nepal. The team from his organization, ‘Sood Charity Foundation’, has arrived in Nepal from India with blankets, rations, and other essential supplies.
In a conversation with the news agency ANI, Sonu Sood stated that his team will continue to send relief materials for several months to come to help rehabilitate the affected families. More than 900 people have lost their lives in this natural disaster in Nepal so far.

Relief material sent from India Sonu Sood stated that his team is assessing the needs of the flood victims at the ground level. Sonu said, “We have come here to meet the flood victims. We have brought a lot of supplies, rations, and blankets from India. It is the duty of all of us to stand with those in need during this time of crisis.”
He also mentioned that transporting relief material from India to Nepal is a difficult task, but his foundation will ensure that aid continues to reach the victims in the coming months as well.
Around 3,925 people are missing in the devastating floods in Nepal.
More than 900 people died due to floods in Nepal So far, 939 people have died in the devastating floods and landslides in Nepal. Apart from this, 3,925 people are still missing, including 592 foreign nationals. Rescue operations by the army and local administration are underway in several districts, including Rasuwa and Nuwakot. Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Nepal has taken necessary steps to identify the bodies of Indian citizens who lost their lives in the floods.
Became a helper for laborers during the Covid lockdown Sonu Sood’s journey of helping people during disasters and crises began in the year 2020 during the Corona pandemic and the nationwide lockdown.
Sending laborers back during Covid
At that time, Sonu had arranged buses, trains, and special flights to send thousands of migrant laborers stranded in Mumbai to their home states (Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, etc.). He took responsibility for all their expenses, from food and drink to their travel. Since then, he has been continuously active in social work.
Provided aid until the Ukraine crisis During the second wave of Corona, Sonu Sood worked day and night to provide oxygen cylinders, concentrators, and ICU beds in hospitals across the country.
Recently, Sonu Sood celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake with needy children.
Following this, during the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022, he helped many Indian students stranded in Ukraine reach India safely via the borders of Romania and Poland. Through his foundation, Sonu has been consistently providing support for the education of economically disadvantaged children, free medical surgeries, and financial aid to victims of accidents.
