Controversial bill for samosas and namkeen

On May 29, a 300-meter CC road was consecrated in Parasi ‘A’ Gram Panchayat of Manpur Janpad Panchayat in Umaria district. The surprising thing is that 43 thousand rupees were spent on a 30-minute program. After the bill became public, questions are being raised in the village and political circles. Janpad Panchayat officials have talked about investigating the bill.

According to the bill, 6 thousand rupees were shown as spent on samosas and 4 thousand rupees on namkeen. Including other food items and arrangements, the total expenditure was stated to be around 43 thousand rupees.

Villagers said – the expense is beyond comprehension

After the bills came to light, villagers have questioned the necessity and appropriateness of the expenses. They say that spending such a large amount in a half-hour Bhoomipujan program is beyond comprehension. Congress leader Roshni Singh has also raised the issue by sharing the expense-related bills on social media.

Secretary said – Payment made according to expenses

Village Panchayat Secretary Ram Hilor Singh said that payment has been made according to the expenses incurred in the program.

APO said – Bills will be investigated

Janpad Panchayat’s APO Rajesh Kumar said that after checking the bill, the expenditure will be examined according to the program. He admitted that the bill seems excessive for the program.

Meanwhile, Ankit Sirothia, Chief Executive Officer of Manpur Janpad Panchayat, stated that a team has been formed and an investigation is being conducted. Action will be taken thereafter.
