CJP convenor Abhijeet Dipke launches ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign from his village in Maharashtra. The mission was aimed at improving the condition of the government schools in India, PTI reported.
After hoisting the flag at his village, Dipke said, ““I am very proud to have had the opportunity to come to my village and hoist the flag, but seeing the condition of the government school here makes me very sad too, that even 80 years after independence, we are still unable to build good schools for our children’s education!”
CJP’s founder had earlier said that, “Government-run schools in India remain neglected irrespective of the parties in power.” According to PTI, he had launched the campaign School Thik Karo from Hingoli in Maharashtra, marking Independence Day.
He further mentioned, “Government-run schools are being shut to benefit private ones. We have seen that over 94,000 state-run schools have been shut down in the past ten years in India. How can a nation be strengthened by shutting down schools when more schools need to be opened?”
Before leaving for his native village of Santuk Pimpri in the Hingoli district of Maharashtra, Dipke criticised political parties for not doing enough to improve the infrastructure and standard of government schools. “People have now understood that they should talk about education, which is the need of the hour.
No matter which political party ruled, nobody worked for government schools in the states. Now there is a need, and we can make them work by asking questions, he told reporters.
He questioned the source of funding for the huge banners that had cropped up in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city on Friday when a Tiranga rally was organised in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Social media accounts were taken down, then returned
Separately, earlier today, the CJP founder claimed that the official Instagram account of the party was taken down, but it was later restored, with the outfit alleging that the move was an attempt to silence its voice on Independence Day.
The CJP, which was at the helm of the recent students’ protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, said it had successfully recovered the account. “What a shame that those who oppose CJP chose India’s Independence Day to try to muzzle our voice. We will not be intimidated by such cowardly acts!” the outfit said in a post. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke also reacted to the takedown, saying, “They took down the official Instagram handle of Cockroach Janta Party. Bloody cowards!” The account was restored later in the day, according to the outfit.
