On the occasion of Independence Day, Jaynagar Police Station organised a special self-defence training programme aimed at promoting safety, awareness and confidence among women and children.
The programme focused on teaching participants basic self-defence techniques while also creating awareness about personal safety and the importance of remaining alert in potentially risky situations.
Karate academies conduct specialised training sessions
The training was conducted jointly by Seishinkai Winners Karate-Do Association and Seishinkai Prahlad Karate Academy. Instructors introduced participants to several basic self-defence techniques and explained how awareness, confidence and quick decision-making can play an important role in ensuring personal safety.
Building confidence through self-defence
A key focus of the programme was empowering women and children to feel more confident about protecting themselves. Organisers said self-defence training should not be viewed merely as a physical skill but also as a means of developing awareness and confidence.
The initiative assumed particular significance on Independence Day, with Jaynagar Police Station using the occasion to promote a message of safety and empowerment alongside the celebrations.

The organisers thanked Jaynagar Police Station for conducting the programme and for involving the Seishinkai Winners Karate-Do Association and Seishinkai Prahlad Karate Academy in the initiative.
