After driving the car onto the footpath in Bilaspur, the couple started kissing.
A speeding car first collided with an auto-rickshaw in Bilaspur before swerving onto the pavement near a shop. Several people narrowly escaped being hit in the incident. The front of the car was badly damaged in the collision. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Sirgitti police station.
The boy driving the car was reportedly a minor. A girl and some of his friends were also in the car. The occupants were allegedly under the influence of alcohol. A video showing the couple kissing each other after the accident has also surfaced on social media and gone viral.
When local residents objected to the incident, an argument broke out between the car occupants and the people at the spot. Angry locals then allegedly assaulted the occupants. A video of the entire incident has also gone viral on social media.
The car reportedly hit an auto-rickshaw, but the auto driver did not file a complaint at the police station. Police issued a ₹2,000 challan under the Motor Vehicles Act.

According to information, the incident took place three days ago. During rainfall in the Sirgitti area, a group of boys and girls were travelling in a speeding car on the main road. Eyewitnesses said the occupants appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.
During the incident, the boy driving the car allegedly swerved across the road before mounting the pavement near a shop and crashing into it. Several people present at the spot ran in different directions to save themselves. A crowd gathered at the scene following the incident.
During this time, the couple sitting in the driver and front passenger seats was seen kissing. When people objected to the incident and tried to speak to the young man driving the car, he and those accompanying him allegedly acted aggressively towards them.
Girl also slapped
Angered by this, some local youths allegedly assaulted the boys travelling in the car. The girl also got out of the vehicle and began arguing while defending the young man. The local youths then allegedly slapped the girl as well.
Video goes viral on social media
The video from the Sirgitti area has now gone viral on social media. It shows a group of young men allegedly assaulting a woman and two men accompanying her in the middle of the road. The video has triggered anger among local residents.
