Telangana CM Revanth Reddy US Visit Denied; MEA Clearance Controversy

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has not received the Centre’s approval to travel to the US, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said on Friday.

Revanth Reddy is currently in London. He had planned to travel to the United States and return to Hyderabad on 30 August. However, Reddy will now return to Hyderabad on 23 August instead of travelling from London to Boston, US.

The CMO issued a statement saying, “The official Telangana Rising delegation led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has had to cancel its visit to the United States. The Ministry of External Affairs has denied approval, citing political grounds for the denial of clearance.”
