Actor Aditya Seal, known for Student of the Year 2, and actress Anushka Ranjan have become parents to twin daughters. Anushka gave birth to the couple’s two daughters on 23 August 2026.
The couple announced the news on social media and revealed that they have named their daughters Vira Ranjan Seal and Mahi Ranjan Seal.
Aditya Seal announces the arrival of his daughters
Aditya shared his happiness on Instagram through a special card featuring illustrations of two baby girls.
He wrote, “My sunshine has come to light up our lives. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude. Vira and Mahi, Team Girl.”
The couple’s announcement was met with congratulatory messages from friends, colleagues and fans.
Couple announced pregnancy in May 2026
Aditya and Anushka announced their pregnancy in May 2026. In an interview with HT City that month, Anushka revealed that they were expecting their baby in September.
She said they had delayed sharing the news because they wanted some time to themselves before making the announcement public. Anushka also admitted that they were more nervous about announcing the pregnancy than their wedding, but were overwhelmed by the love and reactions they received from friends and others.
Anushka underwent IVF treatment
Anushka has previously spoken openly about her IVF journey on her YouTube channel. She revealed that becoming a mother was not an easy journey and that she had to take more than 150 injections during the treatment.
She recalled crying because of the pain caused by the injections. According to Anushka, she and Aditya had been considering starting a family since 2023. They eventually consulted a doctor on the advice of her sister, Akanksha Ranjan.

The couple first met on 26 June 2017 at an event organised for Anushka’s NGO, Beti. Their conversations eventually developed into a relationship.

Aditya Seal began his acting career as a child artist in 2002 with Ek Chhoti Si Love Story. He later appeared in films including Tum Bin 2, Student of the Year 2, Indoo Ki Jawani and Rocket Gang.

Anushka Ranjan’s career
Anushka Ranjan made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with the romantic comedy Wedding Pullav. She later appeared in Batti Gul Meter Chalu and the web series Fittrat.
Interestingly, Aditya Seal also played a lead role in Fittrat alongside Anushka.
