Kriti Sanon was recently featured in a jewellery brand’s Raksha Bandhan advertisement, where she wore an Indo-Western outfit comprising a bralette-style blouse, a cape and a draped skirt.
The advertisement sparked controversy on social media, with some users questioning whether the outfit was appropriate for a campaign centred on a traditional festival. Kangana Ranaut has now reacted to the controversy, although she did not mention Kriti by name.
Sharing her views on Instagram Stories, Kangana said women today have a wide range of clothing choices, from cocktail dresses and lehenga cholis to jeans, sarees, bikinis and salwar-kameez.
She then questioned why someone would choose to tie a rakhi to their brother while wearing a bikini or undergarments, asking where all the other styling options had gone. She sarcastically added that the advertisement appeared to have been made “weird on purpose”.

Kangana took a dig at Abhijit Dipke
Meanwhile, Kangana shared a video on social media, taking a dig at ‘Cockroach Janta Party’ (CJP) founder Abhijit Dipke.
In this reel, Abhijit Dipke is first shown giving a statement in English, followed by a clip of Kangana Ranaut speaking English. The video’s caption compared the level of English spoken by both.
The text in the video stated that on one side is 12th-pass Kangana, while on the other is CJP Abhijeet Dipke, who studied at Boston University. The caption in the video read that one has fire, while the other needs a reboot.
