
The protest by students outside the Bihar University of Health Sciences in the Jakkanpur police station area of Patna continued on Tuesday as well. A large number of students gathered outside the university, raising a ruckus over suspicions of irregularities in the results.
During the protest, a clash also broke out between the students and police personnel. It is being reported that some students and police personnel have also sustained injuries. During the commotion, the windshields of some vehicles passing by on the road were also broken.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and began efforts to control the situation. A tense atmosphere prevails outside the university.
The protesting students allege that the police resorted to a lathi-charge to control them. The students say that they had arrived at the university with their demands regarding the suspected irregularities in the results, but instead of listening to them, the police started taking action.

Currently, police and administrative officials are present at the spot. In view of the situation, security around the university has been increased. The police are engaged in calming the entire matter and persuading the protesting students. Meanwhile, Bihar Health Sciences University employee said around 600 students reached the university and carried out extensive vandalism across the campus. Classrooms and the upper floors were also damaged.
