Political activity is intensifying in Rajasthan over the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ launched by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). Party co-convener and spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka has alleged in a social media post that Rajasthan Police is keeping an eye on everyone visiting his home.
Tagging Rajasthan Police, he wrote, “If the police want to arrest me, they can come and arrest me directly. My team and I will continue the campaign until all schools in Rajasthan are fixed.”
DCP East Ranjeeta Sharma said police had reached the area to verify another address and that Ranka’s house happened to be at the same location. She said there was nothing to support the allegation made by Ranka in his post.

Dispute took place during school inspection on August 22
On August 22, the CJP team had reached a government school in Rampura village of Bagru for an inspection. During the visit, villagers stopped the CJP workers from entering the school. The dispute quickly escalated, and the workers were allegedly assaulted.
The incident led to a chaotic situation. Calling it a pre-planned conspiracy, the CJP demanded the arrest of those involved in the assault. The party also accused the BJP of hooliganism in the matter.
Demand for accused’ arrests continues
CJP activists continue to demand the arrest of those accused of assaulting the party workers. Meanwhile, Ashutosh Ranka’s X post alleging police surveillance has surfaced and is being linked to the controversy surrounding the Bagru school.
