
Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi amidst the controversy over Kriti Sanon’s Raksha Bandhan ad. Supporting actress Kriti Sanon, Rahul Gandhi had written the message ‘Smash the Patriarchy’ on social media.
In response to this, Kangana re-shared an illustrated (cartoon) post from the BJP’s Instagram handle. In it, Kangana wrote, “Bro, wait. Bharat Mata Ki Jai. Let’s begin.”
Through this post, the BJP has raised questions about Congress’s intentions regarding Triple Talaq, the Shah Bano case, women’s reservation, and the participation of women in the Karnataka cabinet.

Rahul said – What a woman wears is her choice Actually, there was a controversy regarding Kriti Sanon’s clothes in a jewellery brand’s Rakshabandhan advertisement. In this controversy, Rahul Gandhi re-shared Kriti Sanon’s statement on his Instagram story on Tuesday.
Rahul Gandhi wrote that what a woman wears, what she does, and where she goes is her own choice. There should be no online policing of women’s clothing and lifestyle. Rahul used the hashtag ‘Smash the Patriarchy’ in his post.

Kangana takes a dig at BJP’s cartoon post Following this statement by Rahul Gandhi, Kangana Ranaut shared a post by the BJP. In this post, Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Smash the Patriarchy’ slogan has been responded to through illustrations.
In the illustration, a woman asks Rahul Gandhi what his party did regarding Triple Talaq, to which the character of Rahul replies that it was vote bank politics.
After this, the Women’s Reservation Bill, the Shah Bano case, and the Karnataka cabinet are mentioned. The post raises the question of why there is not a single female minister among the 33 ministers in the Congress government of Karnataka.
