
Several districts in Madhya Pradesh are facing flood-like conditions due to rain. A strong monsoon system is active. The Sidhi-Uttar Pradesh route has been closed due to a landslide in the Mooda Valley of the Kaimur Hills in Sidhi. A red alert for heavy rain has been issued in Tikamgarh and Damoh, while an orange alert is in effect for 13 districts.
In Uttar Pradesh, continuous rain has affected 23 districts with floods. More than 16,000 people have been rescued so far. Thirty-five villages in Pilibhit are submerged in floodwaters. Wildlife is emerging from the forests. On Thursday, a tiger was spotted roaming in Kon village.
According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall activity will intensify in Rajasthan from September 4. A yellow alert for rain has been issued in Jaipur and Bharatpur, as well as in the Kota and Ajmer divisions. Heavy rain is also expected in some places.
Uttarakhand has been experiencing intermittent heavy rain for the past four days. The Badrinath Highway was closed after a landslide in Chamoli. A yellow alert for heavy rain has been issued in seven districts, including Dehradun, Uttarkashi, and Chamoli.
