To bring Raja Hasan Khan Mewati to the attention of the new generation on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of his martyrdom, 15 events will be organized from September 6 through December. This series, titled “Nation First Dialogue,” will include events at several locations, including Haryana, Rajasthan, and Delhi. Historians, educators, social workers, youth, elected representatives, and people from various communities will participate.
The “Vande Sardar Unity Padyatra Organizing Committee” has prepared a plan for these events. Through the campaign, information about Raja Hasan Khan Mewati’s life, devotion to the nation, and sacrifice will be shared with young people.
Dialogue series to begin in Faridabad
The “Nation First Dialogue” series will begin on September 6 at J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad. Around 300 distinguished citizens, social representatives, and young people have been invited to the event.
Haryana government cabinet minister Vipul Goyal, the Chief Minister’s OSD Raj Nehru, BJP Minority Morcha national president Kunwar Basit Ali, Mewat Study Centre patron Shyam Sundar, and Mufti Mustajabuddin Mazahiri, imam of Markaz Masjid Eidgah in Old Faridabad, among several others, will participate in it.
The event will discuss the life of Raja Hasan Khan Mewati, the Battle of Khanwa, Mewat’s shared heritage, and his contribution to national unity. On the occasion, a souvenir titled ‘Nation First’ will be released. A video prepared on the life and sacrifice of Raja Hasan Khan Mewati will also be released and screened.
Events to be held at these places
After Faridabad, ‘Nation First Dialogues’ will be organised in Alwar, the battlefield of Khanwa, Kaman, Kishangarh, Bhiwadi, Palwal, Hodal, Hathin, Gurugram, Nuh, Panipat, Chandigarh, and New Delhi.
Fought against Babur alongside Maharana Sanga
Chief Minister’s Media Coordinator and Patron of the Vande Sardar Unity March, Mukesh Vashisht, said that Raja Hasan Khan Mewati was not a hero of any particular caste, religion, or region, but a great Indian warrior who sacrificed his life for the defense of the nation.
He said that Raja Hasan Khan had rejected Babur’s inducements and offers. Following this, Babur attacked him. Raja Hasan Khan also accepted the battle and fought bravely.
Raja Hasan Khan Mewati was a brave, self-respecting, and patriotic ruler of Mewat. To defend his motherland, he joined Maharana Sanga in fighting against the Mughal invader Babur in the Battle of Khanwa and attained martyrdom in March 1527.
