Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on becoming Italy’s longest-serving consecutive prime minister.
In a social media post, Modi called Meloni his friend and said the achievement reflects the trust and confidence of the people of Italy in her leadership.
The Prime Minister said Meloni’s friendship has also been important in strengthening the India-Italy Special Strategic Partnership. He expressed hope that the two countries would continue working together for a prosperous future for their people.
Modi also wished Meloni continued success in the years ahead.
