IndiGo Flight Hits Pole at Srinagar Airport

The IndiGo flight 6E 225 (VT-NOG), which arrived in Srinagar from Navi Mumbai, collided with a pole at Srinagar Airport while being parked. The incident occurred at around 9:02 am at Bay No. 06 while the aircraft was being positioned for parking. All passengers and crew members are safe. No injuries have been reported.

Passengers and crew were safely deboarded using manual aircraft stairs. The cause of the incident is under investigation. Srinagar Airport is currently operating normally, with flights arriving and departing as scheduled.

The pole that the aircraft hit is part of the Visual Docking Guidance System (VDGS). The pole is used to safely guide aircraft into the parking area.
