The Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with the 21 Rashtriya Rifles and the 92 Battalion of the CRPF, has uncovered a terror module in the Handwara-Kupwara area. According to the police, this module was being operated in a hybrid manner by a former terrorist for the banned terror organization Hizbul Mujahideen.
During the operation, the police arrested Manzoor Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Cruhmura Handwara. A Chinese-made pistol, two magazines, and 16 rounds of ammunition were recovered from his possession.
According to the police, the accused has previously been arrested in two other cases. The police are now further investigating the matter.
