Comedian and popular YouTuber Gujju Love Guru aka Chandan Rathod, died in an accident on September 17. His sudden death has led to several discussions and questions surrounding the circumstances of the accident.
Rathod was returning home after completing a shoot with the Village Boy team when his bike met with an accident near Haridham Gaushala. It is being reported that he died after his bike collided head-on with another motorcycle.
However, some people have raised questions about the circumstances of the accident. A video that has surfaced reportedly shows the body lying around 25 feet away from the bike. The other rider is said to have suffered an injury to his thigh.
No FIR has been registered by Rathod’s family so far. Therefore, the police have not officially disclosed the identity of the other rider.
Other rider reached hospital after accident
The police’s preliminary investigation into Chandan Rathod’s accident indicates that two motorcycles collided head-on. Bhabhar PSI H.L. Joshi said the other rider left the spot after the accident and went to a hospital for treatment. He reportedly suffered an injury to his thigh.
According to the PSI, both the motorcycle and the riders could have been thrown in different directions following the impact.
Therefore, the fact that the person was found around 20–25 feet away from the motorcycle is also being considered by the police as part of the possible accident sequence. The police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

‘Gujju Love Guru’ seen refuelling bike minutes before fatal accident
CCTV footage that emerged after the incident shows Chandan Rathod, known as ‘Gujju Love Guru’, refuelling his motorcycle at a petrol pump just minutes before the fatal accident.
He was returning home after completing a video shoot with the Village Boy team when the accident occurred.
The CCTV footage shows Rathod filling petrol in the same motorcycle involved in the accident. The petrol pump is reportedly around 3–4 km from the spot where the accident took place.
Left job to pursue comedy and built social media following
Chandan Rathod’s journey was marked by struggle. According to his friends, he initially moved to Morbi for work. After returning, he wanted to do something different and became active on social media.
He gradually started making comedy videos and went on to establish himself across Gujarat as ‘Gujju Love Guru’. He had around 1.8 million followers on Instagram and 1 million subscribers on YouTube.

From a humble background to a popular social media creator
Chandan Rathod, who came from a modest family in Suigam, built a distinct identity on social media through his talent and unique style. He used Instagram and YouTube to create Gujarati comedy videos that entertained audiences and made them laugh.
The local dialect and language style of the Vav-Tharad and Banaskantha region became a defining feature of his comedy. His simple, earthy humour was widely appreciated by viewers.
Along with comedy, Rathod also created message-driven videos aimed at spreading awareness, guiding people on social issues and highlighting ground realities. His popularity eventually extended beyond Vav-Tharad and North Gujarat, earning him a fan following across Gujarat.

Co-star appeals for financial support for Chandan Rathod’s children
Village Boy, also known as Amarsinh, made a reel with Chandan Rathod’s son and daughter, appealing to people to provide whatever financial assistance they can for the children’s future. A QR code has also been shared in the reel to facilitate contributions.

Chandan uploaded a video before leaving the shoot, says co-star
Amarsinh alias Vohata Vadi, Chandan Rathod’s co-star, told Divya Bhaskar that the team had gone to shoot a video together.
Chandan first uploaded a video from the location, after which the team did not shoot any further. Gujju Love Guru then left the spot, and the accident occurred while he was on his way home.
According to Amarsinh, Chandan’s motorcycle collided with a motorcycle from Uchhosan village. A wooden plank used for masonry work was attached to the other motorcycle, and Chandan’s bike came into contact with it.
He lost control of his motorcycle, fell on the road and suffered serious injuries. He was later shifted to Bhabhar by a 108 ambulance. Doctors at the hospital declared him dead.
‘Family lost a relative, we lost a friend’: co-star
Pravin Rathod said Chandan Rathod earned his livelihood through social media and had built a distinct identity in the field. He became widely known across Gujarat as ‘Gujju Love Guru’.
Pravin said Chandan’s father was a farmer. Chandan had one brother, Paresh Rathod, and three sisters. He is survived by a son and a 10-year-old daughter.
Speaking about Chandan’s sudden death, Pravin said the tragedy had left the family devastated. He became emotional and said, “The family has lost a relative, while we have lost a friend. After such a tragic incident, everything has become difficult.”

Prayer meeting on Sunday, 12th-day ceremony on Wednesday
The family has announced the dates for Chandan Rathod’s prayer meeting and 12th-day ceremony. According to the family, the prayer meeting will be held at 8 am on Sunday (20 Sept).
The 12th-day ceremony will be held on Wednesday, September 23. The prayer meeting will be organised at Brahmanvas School, located next to Radhe Krishna Temple in Suigam.
A large number of Chandan Rathod’s fans, friends and acquaintances are also expected to attend the prayer meeting.
