PM Modi Distributes 51000 Appointment Letters

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters at a Rozgar Mela (job fair) on Friday. These appointments have been made across various departments and organisations of the central government. The job fair will be held at 45 locations across the country, and Modi will also address the newly selected employees virtually.

The newly appointed employees will join various departments, including the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services and Ministry of Defence, among others.

This will be the 20th Rozgar Mela. With this round, around 12.75 lakh young people will have received appointment letters across various government departments and organisations.

Jobs available across these departments

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), candidates receiving appointment letters at the Rozgar Mela will begin working in various central government ministries and departments.

These include the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and Ministry of Defence.

According to the government, the Rozgar Mela reflects its continued focus on creating employment opportunities for young people, and also aims to ensure greater youth participation in the country’s development journey.

Rozgar Mela launched in October 2022

The Prime Minister launched the first phase of the Rozgar Mela on 22 October 2022. At the time, he had said the goal was to give the country’s youth 10 lakh government jobs by the end of 2023.

The 12th Rozgar Mela, held on 12 February 2024 ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, saw the highest-ever distribution of 1 lakh job letters in a single event. The target of 11 lakh appointments was achieved in 2025.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed out appointment letters for government jobs to more than 51,000 young people on Saturday. The selected candidates received jobs across several government departments, including Railways, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the health department, financial services, and higher education.

PM Modi joined the 19th Rozgar Mela, held across 47 cities in the country, via video conferencing. He was also expected to interact with the newly appointed employees.
