Delhi’s draft electoral roll was published on Monday, with 47.7 lakh electors excluded from the city’s total 1.45 crore voters.
The Delhi Chief Electoral Officer said excluded electors can file claims for inclusion till September 30 through Form 6 along with supporting documents. The final electoral roll is scheduled to be published on November 4.
The draft roll contains around 97.5 lakh electors whose enumeration forms were received and digitised during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The remaining 47.7 lakh electors were categorised as “uncollectable” under Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others (ASDDO).
Digitisation varied across 70 constituencies
Forms of around 67.18% of Delhi’s 1,45,10,299 electors were digitised during the house-to-house exercise, which began on June 30 and ended on August 17.
Rohini recorded the highest digitisation rate at 83.43%, while Tughlakabad had the lowest at 52.15%.
Claims and objections to be examined
Claims and objections will be examined, with the notice and disposal process continuing until October 29, according to the revised Election Commission schedule.
The SIR was conducted through house-to-house enumeration to prepare the electoral roll. Electors whose forms were not received can seek inclusion through the claims and objections process.
