Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi has tested positive for swine flu (H1N1). The actor had been unwell for the past few days. After undergoing an H1N1 test, his report came back positive on Friday.
Health deteriorated after continuous travel
Emraan had been travelling continuously for work over the past few days and had also visited Ranchi. After returning, he started feeling unwell and his health continued to deteriorate. He subsequently underwent an H1N1 test, which confirmed the infection.
Doctors have advised the actor to take adequate rest and follow the necessary precautions while recovering.

Dainik Bhaskar has received Emraan Hashmi’s exclusive medical report, which shows a positive H1N1 test result. The development comes at a time when the actor has been in the news following the success of Awarapan 2.
Emraan has also postponed a scheduled appearance in Bengaluru because of his health. He informed fans that he was unwell and that the event would be held on a later date.
Cancelled Bangalore show due to deteriorating health
Amid the success of Awarapan 2, Emraan Hashmi was scheduled to perform at a show in Bengaluru. However, after falling ill and reportedly testing positive for swine flu (H1N1), the actor has postponed the event. He shared the update through his official social media account.
Emraan wrote, “Hello Bengaluru, I am really very sick and unfortunately, I will not be able to make it to the Bengaluru show. But the picture is not over, it has just been postponed. I will meet you all on Saturday, September 12th, at Sunburn Union. Your tickets will remain valid for the new date. Can’t wait to meet you all.”
The Bengaluru show was originally scheduled for August 29, with Emraan set to return to the stage after nearly 19 years. The rescheduled event will now take place on September 12, and tickets for the original date will remain valid.
Emraan Hashmi’s film collected ₹220 crores
Emraan Hashmi’s most awaited film Awarapan 2 was released on August 14. This film has collected ₹220 crores so far. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, this film is a sequel to Emraan Hashmi’s 2009 film Awarapan. Along with Emraan Hashmi, Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi are also in important roles in the film.
