Punjabi actress Isha Rikhi has confirmed for the first time that she and rapper-singer Badshah have parted ways. While opening up about the separation, Isha made it clear that she does not want to discuss the details of her personal life publicly.
Speaking to The Times of India, Isha said there is a lot she could talk about, but she would rather leave the past behind. She said she wants to move on from this chapter of her life with dignity.
Isha also explained that she does not want to turn her relationship into a public discussion or reveal private details in front of everyone. She said that sharing the personal issues of a relationship publicly is not who she is.
When asked about her current equation with Badshah, Isha described it as “very complicated.” She said she hopes to reach a point where she has the strength to answer all questions about the relationship, but for now, she is dealing with her own personal struggles.
The actress also admitted that healing may take time. She said she does not want the difficult experiences she has gone through to make her a bitter person, although she knows recovering from them may take a long time.

Badshah and Isha Rikhi reportedly announced their separation five months after secretly getting married. Badshah shared a statement on social media saying that the decision was made with mutual consent.
He also requested people to respect their privacy during this period and made it clear that the statement would be their first and last public comment on the matter. Isha shared the same statement on her Instagram Story.
The couple has now chosen to keep the details of their separation private, with Isha making it clear that she does not want to publicly discuss what went wrong in their relationship.

Reports of rift had been surfacing since july
Rumours of trouble between Badshah and Isha Rikhi had started circulating in July. On July 26, Isha shared several pictures and videos with Badshah on social media along with a cryptic post.
She wrote, “Every storm is a lesson,” and added a broken-heart emoji. In another note, Isha said she had stayed silent for a long time out of fear but had now decided to speak up for her self-respect.
Around the same time, Isha’s mother, Poonam Rikhi, also shared social media posts about karma, adding to speculation about trouble in the couple’s relationship.

Confirmed marriage in June
Isha Rikhi had confirmed her marriage to Badshah during an Instagram ‘Ask Me Anything’ session in June this year. However, even after getting married, the couple largely kept their relationship away from the public eye and rarely spoke about each other.
Meanwhile, reports now suggest that Isha could soon be seen as a contestant on Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 20.
Badshah’s second marriage ends in divorce
The reported separation from Isha marks Badshah’s second divorce. He was previously married to Jasmine Masih, with whom he tied the knot in 2012. The couple welcomed their daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh, in 2017.
However, differences reportedly developed between Badshah and Jasmine, and the two separated in 2020. After their separation, Isha Rikhi became a part of Badshah’s life.

Badshah’s new song released amid separation announcement
Badshah, whose real name is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, began his music career in 2006 as part of the hip-hop group Mafia Mundeer. He rose to nationwide popularity with the Punjabi track Proper Patola, featuring Diljit Dosanjh, in 2013, followed by DJ Waley Babu in 2015.
He later entered Bollywood with Saturday Saturday from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania in 2014. The same year, he also featured in Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai from Khoobsurat.
Amid reports of trouble in his personal life, Badshah’s new Marathi hip-hop track Chimna was released on August 31. The song features collaborations with singer Divya Kumar and Marathi folk artist Nagesh Morwekar.

- ‘Genda Phool’ song and credit controversy in 2020Badshah’s song Genda Phool, released in March 2020, faced controversy over its Bengali lyrics. The song used the lines “Boroloker Biti Lo”, which were originally written by Bengali folk artist Ratan Kahar in the 1970s. Initially, Kahar did not receive credit for the lyrics, leading to criticism. Badshah later clarified that the song was registered as a traditional Bengali folk song in official records. As the controversy grew, he contacted Ratan Kahar and provided him with financial assistance of ₹5 lakh.
- Fake views and followers case in 2020In August 2020, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch investigated a racket involving the sale of fake social media followers and views. Badshah was questioned by the police during the investigation. According to police claims, he had allegedly purchased 72 million fake views for his song Paagal to set a record within 24 hours and had paid ₹72 lakh for the service. However, Badshah denied the allegations and said he had not used any such service.
