
Another person died of electrocution in Jogeshwari East, Mumbai. The incident took place at 12:20 p.m. in Shyamnagar Pond near the Lily White building, where five artificial tanks had been built for immersing Ganesh idols. Four of these tanks had been closed after midnight.
Rohit Bhimu Rathod, an employee appointed by the contractor, entered the tank. He died after being electrocuted by the current running through it.
According to the BMC, this tank had been closed after midnight. He was immediately taken to a local trauma care hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
A girl died of electrocution late Saturday night
Earlier, on Saturday night, 19th September, an electrocution incident occurred in Kalachowki, in the Lalbaug area of Mumbai. According to reports, there was a large crowd at the scene before the incident, leading to pushing and shoving. An eight-year-old girl and a woman died in the incident.
