Karnataka CM D.K. Shivakumar said on Wednesday that Sita’s character in the Ramayana is far greater than that of Lord Rama.
He was speaking after inaugurating the fifth edition of ‘Together We Grow International Women Entrepreneurship Day,’ organized by the Ubuntu Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs Association in Bengaluru. Shivakumar appealed to women entrepreneurs to play a leading role in the development of the state.
He said, “Sita’s character in the Ramayana is far greater than that of Lord Rama. Her sacrifices and struggles are exemplary. Women are creators. All of you who have built businesses while overcoming challenges are also examples for others.”
