Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has expressed disappointment over the prolonged delay in the widening of the Mumbai-Goa highway, saying the project has taken so long that he feels embarrassed.
Gadkari said he would not attend the inauguration ceremony after the highway widening project is completed. The project has been under construction for several years and has faced repeated delays.
According to Gadkari, around 93-94% of the widening work has now been completed. Despite the progress, the minister expressed frustration over the time taken to finish the project.
