In Jammu and Kashmir, Rajouri police raided the hideouts of 3 terror associates arrested 4 days earlier on Thursday. During the raid, a pistol, a magazine and bullets were recovered, along with 2 Chinese grenades.
Police had arrested 3 people on 14 September on charges of helping terrorists. All three accused are residents of Kot Charwal and have been identified as Mohammad Azam, Zakir Hussain and Mohammad Mushtaq.
According to police, the accused provided shelter to terrorists and helped move them from one location to another.

According to police, the module was uncovered during the investigation of FIR number 95/2026 registered at the Dharamsal police station in Rajouri. The investigation revealed that all three accused were linked to the banned terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba. They provided terrorists with accommodation and helped transport them from one place to another.
The accused had also helped the terrorists killed in the 2023 encounter in Chassana, Reasi. The investigation also found that they had provided several terrorist groups with accommodation and other essential support.
The accused helped transport terrorists between Rajouri and Reasi. They have also been accused of helping terrorists travel to Shopian through routes in the Pir Panjal range.
Properties of 2 Pakistan-based terrorists attached
The Jammu and Kashmir Police have attached properties linked to 2 terrorists living in Pakistan in Kupwara. According to the police, 15 kanals and 7 marlas of land and 2 houses in Kachama, Kupwara, have been attached.
The properties are registered in the names of Abdul Majeed Qureshi and Parvez Ahmed Qureshi. Both are residents of Kachama and, according to police records, are currently operating terrorist activities from Pakistan. Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat approved the attachment of these properties.
Police have attached 15 kanals and 7 marlas of land and two houses in Kachama, Kupwara.
16 September-Encounter with 2 terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur
Security forces killed two terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district on the night of 16 September. The forces launched a search operation and carried out the action. They had received information that terrorists were hiding in the Majalta area of the district.
Jammu and Kashmir Police said in a tweet that both militants killed were Pakistani nationals. They were identified as Saddam and Mustafa. The militants were affiliated with the Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist organisation. An AK assault rifle with four magazines, an M4 carbine with three magazines, a Glock pistol with two magazines and four grenades were recovered from them.
Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed 15 terrorist incidents so far this year. Fifteen militants have been killed in these incidents, while two security personnel were martyred. Three civilians also died. Security forces and militants exchanged fire in encounters in Udhampur on two occasions.
Security forces suspect that more terrorists may be hiding. A search operation is under way in the area.
14 September-3 Lashkar-e-Taiba-linked terror aides arrested in Rajouri
Jammu and Kashmir Police had uncovered an overground worker (OGW) network linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. Three aides of the terrorists were arrested in the evening of 14 September in connection with the case.
The arrested accused have been identified as Zakir Hussain and Mohammed Azam, residents of Kotcharwal Teriyath in Rajouri, and Mohammed Mushtaq, a resident of Udhan village.
Three days ago, a decomposed body of a terrorist was found in Doda

The decomposed body of a Pakistani terrorist linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba was found in Doda on 9 September. A joint team of the SOG Doda, Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and CRPF recovered the body during a search operation. An M4 rifle with night-vision capability was also found near him.
According to the police, the terrorist was killed in an encounter in the dense forests of Seojdhar on 6 September, but his body was recovered later because of the difficult terrain. The recovered weapon and other items are being examined.
