BJP on Monday hit back at the Congress over its criticism of the food served at the BRICS Summit.
BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said the Congress focused on the dinner menu instead of the achievements India made at the summit. He called this “extremely ridiculous and shameful”. Sudhanshu said the attitude of Congress leaders proves that they are “naraz fufas” (disgruntled uncles).
Congress leaders had on Sunday said that the government imposed its food preferences on guests by serving only vegetarian food at the BRICS dinner.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did not directly mention the BRICS dinner. He had said that 80% of Indians are non-vegetarian.
