Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Thalapathy Vijay opened the Michelin Le Mans Cup race at Silverstone on Saturday by waving the green flag. South star Ajith Kumar participated in the race and finished 38th.
Trisha’s presence grabbed attention
Vijay’s rumoured girlfriend Trisha Krishnan was also present at the event, drawing attention on social media. Several videos from the race are now circulating online. In some clips, Vijay is seen watching the race with Trisha, while other videos show him meeting Ajith before the race and flagging off the event.

Wife Sangeeta withdrew divorce petition amid Vijay-Trisha rumours
Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan have been linked by rumours for years. Meanwhile, Vijay’s wife Sangeeta had filed for divorce in February 2023. According to PTI, she alleged in her petition that Vijay was involved with another actress and said she had learnt about the alleged affair in April 2021. However, she did not name the actress.
Sangeeta alleged mental harassment
Sangeeta also alleged that Vijay had neglected her and subjected her to mental harassment. She claimed that their relationship had broken down and that they had reached a point where they were living separately under the same roof. She sought divorce under the Special Marriage Act, 1954, and said she could name the actress as a second respondent if required.
Vijay and Trisha’s appearances drew attention
Vijay’s personal life also became a topic of discussion during the Tamil Nadu election. His appearances with Trisha added to the speculation surrounding their relationship.
Trisha visited Vijay’s home
Vijay won the Tamil Nadu election on Trisha’s birthday. Reports also said that Trisha later visited Vijay’s house in Neelangarai, which once again brought their equation into the spotlight.
That day, Trisha also posted a photograph of herself celebrating her birthday with Vijay late at night.
Later, on 10 May, Trisha also attended Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
Trisha also attended the event with Vijay’s family on 15 August.
The two were seen together on several occasions, leading people to believe that their relationship was official. However, around that time, Vijay’s wife withdrew her divorce petition.
This is the first time Vijay and Trisha have been seen together since the divorce petition was withdrawn.

Actor Ajit Kumar’s team, Ajit RedAnt by Viraj, finished 38th in this race at Silverstone. The team completed the two-hour race but failed to score any points. The car driven by the pairing of Ajit Kumar and French racer Romain Wojnack remained three laps behind the overall winner.
