Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia’s film ‘Vvaan: Force of the Forest’ has run into controversy ahead of its September 25 release. Singer Sargam Vaish has alleged that his song ‘Aigiri Nandini’ was used in the trailer without his permission.
Singer demands removal of song
Vaish claimed that around 25 seconds of his song were used in the trailer, including his original music and vocals. He has asked the makers to remove the track from the trailer and the film. He also warned that his legal team could take action if it is not removed.

Accused of using song without consent
Sargam Vaish has directly questioned the makers in a video and post shared on her Instagram account. She wrote that when she watched the trailer for ‘One’, she discovered that her original song had been used in it without her consent or permission.
Sargam said she had not granted any approval for her song to be used in the film’s trailer or promotions. She said every artist’s work should be respected and that no one’s content should be used without permission.
Claims contract with music label could be affected
The singer said the matter was extremely important to her because she had already signed a deal with a major music label for the song. The unauthorised use of the song in the film’s trailer could affect her existing contract.
Sargam has asked the film’s entire team and the makers to contact her directly and provide proof of a valid licence. She has also appealed to fans and social media users to share the post so that it reaches the right people.
The song ‘Aigiri Nandini’ has been used in the trailer for ‘Van: Force of the Forest’.
Warning of legal action if demand is not met
In the video, Sargam Vaish made it clear that if the film’s team does not remove their song from the trailer and promotional material, they will be forced to take the next step. They said that their legal team is looking into the matter and that legal action will be initiated if their demand is not met. However, no official response has so far emerged from the makers, directors or production house of One regarding the entire controversy and the allegations.

Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, the film ‘Van: Force of the Forest’ is based on the forests of central India, Indian folk tales, mysteries and mythology. Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia play the lead roles, while Sunil Grover, Maniesh Paul, Shweta Tiwari and Anup Soni will also be seen in important roles. The film is scheduled to be released in cinemas across the country on 25 September.
‘Mirzapur’ was also accused of stealing a song
This is not the first case of songs being used without permission in film and series trailers. Recently, the makers of ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ were also accused of doing the same. Singer Raperia Balam alleged that the makers had used his song ‘Shoorveer’ without his consent.
He subsequently sent a legal notice to Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, demanding that the song be removed, an unconditional apology be issued and a school be built as compensation for hurting religious sentiments.
