Candidates appearing for the Bombay High Court clerk recruitment typing exam in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Sunday alleged that technical glitches disrupted the test, with several computers, mice and keyboards reportedly malfunctioning.

Some candidates claimed that their computer screens suddenly turned yellow, while others said they were logged out of the exam after around 10 minutes. The alleged glitches triggered protests at the examination centre.

Around 2,900 candidates appeared for the typing test. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke also joined the protest and alleged that several candidates were declared unsuccessful despite the technical problems being beyond their control. He demanded that the examination be conducted again.

Bombay High Court Registrar says complaints are being investigated

The Bombay High Court Registrar said the clerk typing examination was conducted normally through an external agency. However, complaints regarding technical problems were received from some examination centres, including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Kalyan.

The Registrar said the complaints are being investigated and that candidates will be informed officially about any further action.

Exam held in three sessions

The typing test was conducted in three sessions for the recruitment of 1,300 clerks under the Nagpur and Aurangabad benches of the Bombay High Court.

A technical glitch was specifically reported during the 10 am to 11:15 am session. Dipke also shared photographs from the protest on social media.
