Heavy rain continued across several districts of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in districts across the Bhopal, Ujjain, Sagar, Gwalior and Chambal divisions over the next two days.
Heavy rain is also continuing in many parts of Uttar Pradesh. At least 13 people have died in rain-related accidents over the past two days, while 19 districts are affected by flooding.
Following floods in Nepal, eight districts in Bihar have also been placed on high alert. The Ganga is in spate from Buxar to Patna, Begusarai and Bhagalpur. In Khagaria, more than 100 homes and schools are submerged.
In Uttarakhand, a yellow alert has been issued for Dehradun, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar. Heavy rain has also led to 78 roads being closed across nine districts.
