Kangana Ranaut had earlier called Gen Z “gutter-chaap”, drawing criticism from several quarters. Reacting to her remark, Baba Ramdev questioned her background and said, “What is her qualification? How was her childhood? How was her youth? What have her past actions been? I do not want to talk about such people.”
Kangana had hit back at the time, telling Ramdev not to “daydream” about her youth or bedroom. While the controversy appeared to have died down, the actress has now addressed the matter again.
In an interview with DD News, Kangana said that Ramdev was already upset with her when he was asked about her “gutter-chaap” remark. Referring to his comments about her childhood and youth, she said, “Was Baba Ramdev hanging in my bedroom like a bat? What did he see? What exactly did he see? I don’t understand. He should have told everyone what he saw.”

Kangana also spoke about the controversy surrounding Kriti Sanon’s Raksha Bandhan advertisement, which had faced criticism over the actress’s outfit. Kangana has repeatedly objected to the ad and questioned whether similar clothing would be shown during a Muslim festival.
According to Kangana, festivals are connected to culture and traditions, and she argued that revealing outfits such as bralettes should not be worn in such advertisements.
Kangana Ranaut also addressed the criticism she often faces for making controversial or provocative remarks. Using an analogy, she said that the way she responds depends on the person she is dealing with.
“If there is a cockroach, you kill it with a slipper. You cannot kill it with your hands or kiss it. But if there is a butterfly, you catch it and take pictures with it,” Kangana said, adding that she responds to people according to the way they speak or behave.
‘I am not a BJP puppet’
Responding to claims that her statements are linked to the BJP, Kangana said she has an identity beyond politics and the party.
“When there is too much noise, sometimes you have to raise your voice. I often make strong statements, but I don’t do it intentionally. People should remember that I am not a puppet. The BJP is with me today; whether they will be with me tomorrow is a different matter,” she said.
Kangana added that she has been an MP for two years and an artist for 20 years, and has built her own identity. “If I stand somewhere, 20 members of the press will come and listen to me,” she said.

On this, Kangana wrote on social media, “Baba ji, do not daydream about my youth or bedroom. Only someone based on rumors and gossip could think like this. At least I have never been reprimanded by the Supreme Court for false or fake medical claims. So do not lecture me on character. Whatever your character may be, mine is far better than yours. No fraud has been found here.”
