Air Chief Marshal Amarpreet Singh, along with his wife Sarita, arrived at Mathabari village, about 30 km from Gorakhpur city, on Thursday. They were welcomed at the Saraswati Gurukul with a shower of flowers. The Air Chief Marshal’s wife inaugurated the library built at the Gurukul.
The students of the Gurukul performed a play titled ‘Operation Sindoor’. It depicted the initial terrorist attack in Pahalgam followed by India’s military action. During the performance, slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ were also raised.
The Air Chief Marshal said,
Whatever you make of these children, first and foremost, we must become good human beings. If we can make them good human beings, they will do good work in the future. If everyone has their dream surname after their name, then their middle name should be ‘Insaan’ (human). For example, Mohit Insaan Doctor, Arpita Insaan IAS.

Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh said,
It is a great pleasure whenever you meet the young generation in any school. You all are the future of the country. If this country does something good, it will be because of you. If it does not do well, it will also be because of you. You all have to grow up and run this country.When children plant a pole, they first dig a hole. Then, after planting the pole, concrete is poured around it. Once it dries, no matter how much you shake the pole, it will not move. This is because its roots become strong. Today, while you are studying, that is your foundation. How capable you become when you grow up will depend on this foundation.
2. Keep telling children about the value of freedom
The Air Chief Marshal told the children’s parents and teachers,
If you do not tell children about the country, then tomorrow when they grow up, they will not know what our country is. Then they will not know the value of freedom. Therefore, it is the duty of elders to tell this again and again.Learn well what is being taught to children today. Whatever the teachers say, whatever the parents say at home, you have to do it. If you practice, you will become better. Efforts should always continue. Once you have made up your mind, keep striving for it.

3. Whatever you make of children, first make them good human beings
The Air Chief Marshal said that always remain a good human being. You must become a good citizen. Values must always be maintained. We should also behave well in our neighborhood. We should participate in their joys and sorrows. If there is a need in the colony, we should contribute to it, whether through physical labor or money.
Where we reach is not important; how we walk is important. We must walk on the path we intend to go. If someone explains something good to you, you should follow it. Whatever your parents tell you at home, they say it for your benefit, so you should follow it. If you feel like asking for something else, then ask for it. If they find it appropriate, they will give it to you.

The Air Chief Marshal said,
I wanted to become a doctor. But I ended up somewhere else. Perhaps I could not have done what I have done here if I had become a doctor. I made my effort. Effort is our duty. If our values are good, our foundation will be better, and that will be good.In education, knowledge should be given more importance than marks. Marks are also important, but it is not that one should achieve them only by rote learning. It should remain in our minds that we have to live unitedly and think of this country before ourselves. Serving society and the country is your worship.

He said – No one writes a surname in this Saraswati Gurukul. Whatever their dream is, that is their surname.
