IndiGo Flight Goa-Delhi Emergency Landing

IndiGo flight 6E 2102 travelling from Goa to Delhi reported a technical issue in one of its engines a few minutes after take-off. The aircraft was then brought back to Manohar International Airport (Mopa).

The flight took off at 9:16 am and landed safely at 9:30 am. According to Flightradar24 data, the aircraft was flying at an altitude of around 14,000 feet when it turned back.

Passenger count and details of technical issue unknown

Details about the number of passengers on board and the exact nature of the technical issue with the engine are not yet available.

IndiGo is also yet to issue a detailed official statement on the incident. Passengers were not informed about the technical issue.

IndiGo statement on Goa-Delhi flight

“A technical issue was detected shortly after takeoff on IndiGo flight 6E 2102 operating from North Goa to Delhi today. Following the standard operating procedure, the relevant authorities were informed, and the pilots turned back and landed the aircraft safely at Manohar International Airport. The aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance checks and will resume operations after securing all necessary clearances,” an IndiGo spokesperson said.
