The co-pilot of Air India flight A12379, traveling from Phuket to Delhi, tested positive for psychoactive substances. This information has emerged in the preliminary report of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), the agency investigating the incident.

During the flight’s cruise phase, the aircraft suddenly descended 300 feet over Odisha. A total of 145 people, including 137 passengers, were on board. Three of the passengers were infants.
