Fake IAS officer Manish Gupta’s property worth ₹100 crore has been discovered in Khagaria, Bihar. Now, the police are investigating how Manish accumulated this wealth. He was arrested on Sunday and sent to jail.
41-year-old Manish is unmarried. He had built a house similar to Mukesh Ambani’s on about 7,000 square feet of land, so he could keep an eye on everyone.
During the raid at his house on 8th August, details of 20 credit cards and 8 bank accounts were found.
5 iPhones and iPads were also recovered. Police are now busy investigating his network. In the initial investigation, it has come to light that Manish used to make transactions from Canada and America.
Manish studied up to 12th grade in Khagaria. He topped the district in 10th grade. Later, he went to Delhi to prepare for UPSC. After returning from Delhi, he also cut ties with his childhood friends.

Even after the police arrested the fake IAS on August 8, he went to the police station sitting in a Tesla car.
Manish has built a luxurious house in Khagaria. The design of the house is similar to Mukesh Ambani’s house.
The police have also seized the accused Manish’s Tesla car.

Topped 10th, went to Delhi to prepare for IAS
Manish Gupta maintained such an intimidating demeanor that his neighbors kept their distance from him. He used to introduce himself as an officer working in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). He claimed to have direct conversations with PM Modi and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval.
To know more about Manish, the Bhaskar team started searching for his childhood friends. After much searching, we found one of Manish’s classmates.
He said that Manish was born in 1975. His father was a Hindi professor at KDS College in Khagaria. Manish’s early education took place in a government school in the Jamalpur-Gogri area.
In 1991, Manish topped the matriculation exam. After 12th grade, he went to Delhi to his elder brother to prepare for the IAS.
Lobbied for his son for two years, but it didn’t work
Manish’s friend said that he had gone to Manish to lobby for a matter related to his son. He thought that his childhood friend was a big officer. He could help him.
At that time, I had no idea that the person I considered a big government official could have a fake identity. When the news of Manish’s arrest and police action came out, I initially didn’t believe it.
Manish’s friend said that once, during a dispute, Manish had shown his ID card from a distance to a teacher of Middle School Jamalpur Kachhari. He had also threatened the teacher by identifying himself as a CBI officer.
Two vehicles with government plates, a driverless Tesla car also recovered
Khagaria police had received information that Manish, who lives in Jamalpur, identifies himself as an IAS officer by putting ‘GOVT OF INDIA’ boards on his vehicles.
The police team raided his house on the night of 8th August. Two vehicles were parked in front of the house, both bearing government plates.
A man was walking outside the house in half pants and a T-shirt. When the police asked him about himself, he said-
‘My name is Manish Gupta. I am a Senior IAS officer. I work in Ajit Doval’s team. How dare you people come to my house.’
Manish Gupta also showed his ID card on his mobile. Seeing the ID card and his confidence, the police were also on the back foot for a while, but when the officers checked the ID card, it turned out to be fake.’
Manish kept arguing with the police throughout the raid
According to police sources, the raid at Manish Gupta’s house lasted for about 7 hours. During the raid, he kept arguing with senior police officers.
He repeatedly threatened to get the policemen suspended by calling himself a senior officer.

Not revealing phone-iPad password
Police have recovered 5 iPhones, a MacBook, an iPad, and a 4 TB hard disk from the accused.
From the call records, chats, emails, social media accounts, photos, videos, documents, and banking activities present in these devices, the police can get information about the entire network.
The investigating agency is trying to find out who Manish was in contact with. But the fake IAS is not revealing the password of the phone and iPad. The police may now get Manish’s phone and iPad unlocked by an expert.
Police investigating details of 20 credit cards and 8 debit cards
A large number of banking documents have also been found during the search. Police have recovered 20 credit cards, 8 debit cards, and 4 chequebooks. After finding such a large number of banking cards, the police are now investigating their accounts and transactions.
Information about which card was used by whom, from which accounts money came and where it went, will emerge from bank statements and KYC records.
CCTV cameras are also installed at Manish’s house. The police have seized the DVR of the CCTV. This will help identify people coming and going from the house.
Information about transactions from America and Canada through Manish’s network has also come to light. The police are busy scrutinizing the details of these transactions.
Foreign liquor, barasingha antlers and a tortoise also recovered
During the raid, police also found 31 bottles of foreign liquor. In addition, two antlers of a barasingha (swamp deer) and a tortoise were also recovered. The police are also investigating what Manish used the animal antlers for.
Swimming pool, personal theater, more than 25 CCTV cameras at home
According to the neighbor, Manish’s house is named Parmeshwari Bhawan, which has all the luxuries. Ever since Manish arrived here from Ghaziabad, he had been continuously improving the house.
The house also has a swimming pool and a theater. Expensive Italian tiles have been used inside the house. More than 25 CCTV cameras were installed for the security of the entire premises.
Father was a professor; one brother lives in Canada
Manish Kumar Gupta’s family has been educated and reputed. Manish’s father, Parmeshwar Prasad Gupta, was a professor at KDS College in Gogri-Jamalpur.
The family has an ancestral home here. His elder brother Sanjay Kumar Gupta is a professor in Delhi, while another brother, Dumpy Kumar, lives in Canada. Other brothers in the family also work in private companies in different cities.
