A boat carrying 10 people capsized in the Ganga near Pillar No. 10 of Mahatma Gandhi Setu in Vaishali, Bihar, on Tuesday afternoon.
According to preliminary information, the boat was travelling from Raghopur towards Digha when it got caught in the strong current near Gandhi Setu and lost balance.
All 10 passengers reported missing
All 10 people on board are reportedly missing following the incident. Panic spread in the area soon after the boat capsized.
Local residents, along with the administration and rescue teams, began an operation after receiving information about the incident.
Vaishali District Magistrate Varsha Singh also reached the spot after being informed about the accident. Rescue teams are carrying out operations to locate and rescue those who were on board.
