Chandigarh Police recovered an IED and weapons from behind the Sector-43 bus stand during a major operation.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the case, and an FIR has been registered.

Police are searching the entire area, while the Sector 36 police station is investigating the case. Officials have not commented so far.
The recovery site is a sensitive area near the Sector 43 bus stand, district court, and residential neighbourhoods. Chandigarh Police have registered an FIR and said the initial probe indicates a possible plan to carry out terrorist activity in the city.

Pakistani weapons recovered on August 11
Earlier, on August 11, Chandigarh Police arrested three youths from Jind allegedly linked to the Deepak Nandal gang. The accused—Ajay (19), Rohit (18) and Dev (18)—were found with three foreign-made pistols, including a Zigana pistol, two magazines and 19 live cartridges.
According to police, the weapons were dropped by a drone from Pakistan in Tarn Taran and were later transported for supply elsewhere.
