The official trailer of Ajay Devgn-starrer ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ (Drishyam 3) was released on Wednesday. The film is set to hit theatres on October 2, 2026, a date that once again holds significance in the story.
The 2-minute-52-second trailer hints at the final chapter of the Drishyam franchise. Vijay Salgaonkar is once again seen trying to protect his family’s long-hidden secret as the investigation against him grows stronger.
Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay, with Tabu as IG Meera Deshmukh and Shriya Saran as Nandini. This time, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj have also joined the cast, adding new strength to the investigation against Vijay.
The trailer shows that Vijay is facing a much bigger challenge this time. What was once a battle of intelligence has now turned into a fight for survival between Vijay and the police.
Vijay himself admits that the police have strong evidence against him. This time, the investigation is being led by Jaideep Ahlawat, who plays a Crime Branch SP. Unlike those who underestimated Vijay earlier, his character understands Vijay’s intelligence and planning.

The story of ‘Drishyam’
Ajay Devgn’s ‘Drishyam’ was released on July 31, 2015. Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the film was a Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie of the same name. Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav played key roles.
The story follows Vijay Salgaonkar, who lives with his family in Goa. Vijay has studied only up to the fourth grade and works as a cable operator. He is a big movie fan and often learns from the stories he watches.
An accident changes Vijay’s life
Vijay’s life takes a sudden turn when a serious incident involves his elder daughter, Anju. Sam, the son of police officer Meera Deshmukh, harasses and blackmails Anju.

The story takes place seven years after the events of the first film. Vijay is now financially better off and owns a cinema hall. He also dreams of making his own film. However, the secret of Sam’s death continues to trouble his family.
A new witness changes everything
The case takes a new turn when the police find a witness who claims to have seen Vijay near the police station on the night Sam died. This new information leads to the case being reopened.
The investigation is then handed over to IG Tarun Ahlawat, played by Akshaye Khanna. Tarun is a sharp and experienced officer who does not underestimate Vijay.
