The winners of the 78th Emmy Awards have been announced. Often referred to as the Oscars of television and streaming, the awards recognised some of the biggest OTT shows of the year.
Medical drama The Pitt received the highest number of nominations (25) and went on to win two awards.
Actor Matthew Rhys also had a successful night, winning Lead Actor for The Beast in Me and Lead Comedy Actor for Widows Bay.

Based on Shelby Van Pelt’s bestselling 2022 novel, this American drama tells the story of an elderly woman and her unlikely friendship with a remarkably intelligent octopus.

This dark comedy-drama won the Emmy for Best Limited Series. The story is set in a seemingly quiet suburb of St. Louis, Missouri.

Created by Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, this science-fiction drama won awards in the Lead Actress and Writing categories.
