Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar informed that he has discussed the alliance with GFP chief Vijay Sardesai. Both leaders met on Saturday in Fatorda town of South Goa. Congress and GFP had also contested the 2022 assembly elections together.

Chodankar said that the talks held on Saturday were preliminary. A decision on taking the alliance forward is yet to be made. He informed that they will meet again soon to finalize seat sharing and other issues.
