‘Bigg Boss 13’ fame Himanshi Khurana has made a big revelation years later about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Asim Riaz. In Paras Chhabra’s podcast, Himanshi claimed that at one point, she was very close to converting to Islam under Asim’s pressure.
She revealed that during the relationship, objections were raised regarding her worship and religious beliefs.
According to Himanshi, the mental pressure increased so much that one night she felt it might be the last day of her life.
She had also expressed a desire to undertake the Char Dham Yatra before changing her religion.
Breakup with Asim Riaz over religion
Himanshi and Asim met during Bigg Boss 13 and later began a relationship that lasted around four years.
In December 2023, the couple announced their separation, saying that their different religious beliefs had become a reason for their decision.
Himanshi has now spoken in greater detail about the emotional conflict she experienced during that period.
She said her former partner had explained the positive aspects of his religion to her, but accepting it was not something she was comfortable with.
She clarified that he had never mistreated her and that the conflict was about her own beliefs and identity.
She felt she was betraying her faith
Himanshi revealed that the situation made her question her own faith.
She said she felt that changing or giving up her religious practices would mean betraying her God.
She eventually turned towards spirituality and pilgrimages while trying to find clarity. She spoke about visiting religious places, including the Kinnaur Kailash Yatra, and said the experience helped her understand what she wanted.
Bitter feud with Shehnaaz Gill
Before Bigg Boss 13, Himanshi and Shehnaaz Gill already had a strained relationship.
The dispute reportedly began after Shehnaaz criticised Himanshi’s song ‘I Like It’.
Himanshi later alleged that Shehnaaz had body-shamed her and made comments involving her family.
Their rivalry became one of the most discussed personal clashes of Bigg Boss 13 when Himanshi entered the show as a wild-card contestant.
Controversy moved inside Bigg Boss
Their rivalry became more intense after Himanshi entered into the Bigg Boss house.
The two frequently discussed their past differences, while their respective supporters also became involved in the dispute.
Himanshi later claimed that the controversy had affected her personal life and accused the show of presenting her in a negative light.

Asim’s tweet sparked another controversy
In 2021, Himanshi was again dragged into the Shehnaaz controversy after Asim posted a cryptic tweet about people moving on quickly after losing loved ones.
Many social media users interpreted it as a reference to Shehnaaz, who had been seen at a wedding following Sidharth Shukla’s death.
Shehnaaz’s fans criticised Asim, while Himanshi defended him and questioned the reaction to the post. Asim later clarified his tweet.
Farmers’ protest brought another clash
Himanshi also made headlines for her outspoken support for the farmers’ protests in 2020.
She criticised Kangana Ranaut over her comments about the farmers and accused her of presenting the issue from the wrong angle.

In 2025, Himanshi attracted attention after describing Bigg Boss 13 as “cursed” while reflecting on the difficult experiences associated with several contestants.
