Actor Salman Khan recently advised his younger brother, Sohail Khan, to move on and start dating again following his divorce.
Salman appeared on a new episode of the show Alliance, in which Sohail is participating as a contestant.
During their conversation, Salman opened up about Sohail’s marriage to Seema Sajdeh, saying that every relationship goes through difficult phases and arguments. He said, “You are taking some blame upon yourself. I understand that you won’t say it was a mutual decision. I saw some interviews with Seema where she said the relationship was toxic and there were arguments.”
He further added, “Every couple has arguments. It’s up to you whether to stay in the relationship or separate. As a brother, I know that you tried your best, and so did she, but at that time, the circumstances were not in your favour.”
Salman Khan is the eldest brother and Sohail Khan is his youngest brother. Both are sons of Salim Khan.
Salman said, ‘Now date someone and move on’
Advising Sohail to make a fresh start, Salman said, “Start dating someone. Move on. You know how our mind plays tricks on us, don’t you? That’s the habit of the mind. No matter how good everything else in life is, if there’s even one thing that’s bothering you, you tend to forget the other 99.9% of the good things.”
He explained that the mind often becomes fixated on the one negative aspect, while ignoring everything else that is going well. “You keep thinking, ‘Man, this thing is not in my interest… this is negative… this is bothering me.’ Then your mind repeatedly goes back to that one thing and keeps dwelling on it,” he added.

Salman connects Sohail with his son over video call
Salman also arranged a video call with Sohail’s son, Nirvan, using his phone. Sohail had been missing his family over the past few weeks. After speaking to his son, Sohail became emotional and visibly happy.
Sohail and Seema eloped and got married
Sohail and Seema first met at Chunky Pandey’s engagement party, where Sohail reportedly fell in love with her at first sight. The two soon began dating, but Seema’s family opposed their relationship because of their different religions.
Despite the opposition, the couple decided to live together. On 15 March, 1998, the same day Sohail’s directorial debut Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya was released, they eloped and got married. They first took their vows at an Arya Samaj temple and later had a Nikah ceremony.
The couple welcomed their first son, Nirvan, in 2000, followed by their second son, Yohan, in 2011. Sohail and Seema separated in 2022.
