Alongside the series, the makers have released a documentary dedicated to the MiG-21, titled The Last Salute. The documentary opens with a poem written by renowned poet Alok Srivastava, with actor Sharad Kelkar lending his voice to it.

‘Feeling honored to be a part of this film’ – Alok Shrivastav
Alok Shrivastav has expressed his happiness on being a part of ‘The Last Salute’. He said that he feels honored to be a part of this film because it is the story of the country’s brave soldiers. He also thanked the film’s director, Kushal Shrivastav, who made him a part of his creative journey.
Alok also said that he is happy that his poem, in the voice of Sharad Kelkar, is receiving so much love from the audience. He called himself lucky for the success the film is receiving.
